It’s sad that the boys are pretty much left behind. Hard to find male role models yet when you look at our society, it encourages women to have kids without a dad. So we have a generation of men who haven’t had the male involvement … how can we expect them to step up where no one taught them? What it comes down to is that men don’t know what it is to be a mentor, they need male role models themselves.
Men not stepping up isn’t because they don’t have the “skill sets†in that many of these boys are beyond the need to be nurtured, they’ve been nurtured. Many men simply don’t see their own value and we can thank society for that.
