Growing up in the city of Newark, New Jersey, Terrance “Mustaffa” Dent stayed on the straight and narrow until he succumbed to the Lure of easy money in the streets. Given some years along with what he had learned about making easy money, became the genesis of the Zoo Crew drug ring. A group the laundered its drug proceeds through a series of businesses in the city’s South Ward. None other than Terrance was the founder and leader! After years of posing as a respectable merchant, the tragic and questionable shooting of a pregnant young woman by police beard a life changing impact in his life. Unbeknownst, Terrance found himself acting as a community organizer. He spearheaded rallies and appeared before the city’s Mayor to oppose police brutality.
Having realized the positive influence he had on organizing the community, Terrance became cognizant of the power of enlightening his community, oppose to dividing it. But, as Terrance struggled to make the transition from being the leader of a major drug ring to a civic leader and activist, his younger brother Quan along with the other Zoo Crew members vehemently vowed to remain a criminal empire! Although Terrance became a changed man, he was still considered the leader of the city’s most dangerous drug ring. Once authorities mounted a crackdown on the Zoo Crew, Terrance’s past caught up with him which forced him to face the consequences of his past actions.
